After skeletal remains were found on April 2, 2020 west of Boomer Tire and Ponca Nursing and Rehabilitation on the northwest side of Ponca City, the Medical Examiners Office in Oklahoma City on Monday has positively identified the remains as those of 32 year old Joshua K. Battiest.
Battiest was reported missing in January of 2019.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
