Micah Thomas Morris entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on felony counts of shooting with intent to kill, possession of a firearm and endangering others while eluding a police officer.
Morris was charged on July 22, 2016 of firing his weapon at Tonkawa Police officer Brandon Turner during an attempted traffic stop on Interstate 35.
Turner returned fire and a pursuit ensued.
Morris was captured two days later near the Petrified Forest outside Holbrook, Ariz.
No contest to shooting with intent to kill.
