The Oklahoma State Department of Health has reported more than 1,200 new COVID-19 cases since Friday. 384 is Monday’s 7-day rolling average for the state’s daily number of new cases as the Delta variant has become the more dominant.
The CDC reports that overall, Oklahoma has seen 461,293 COVID-19 cases and 8,641 provisional deaths. There are 2,324 active COVID-19 cases in Oklahoma.
Kay County has seen 5,357 COVID-19 cases, 128 deaths and 5,220 recoveries. There are nine active cases in the county. Posted below is data for Kay County communities.

According to OSDH, 3,296,670 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. This includes 1,788,722 Oklahomans receiving the first dose, and 1,534,133 Oklahomans are fully vaccinated. All Oklahomans ages 12 and older can receive the vaccine. Learn more by going to vaccinate.oklahoma.gov.
According to CDC.Gov, A small percentage of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will still develop COVID-19 illness. COVID-19 vaccines are effective. However, a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it. These are called “vaccine breakthrough cases.”
