The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,210 new positive COVID-19 cases for Tuesday, January 12. Oklahoma’s seen 337,457 COVID-19 cases overall as 40,024 cases are active.
A total of 29 virus-related deaths were documented on Tuesday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 2,804. This includes one each for Garfield and Osage counties where both were females in the 65 or older age group.
Kay County saw an increase on Tuesday with 24 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 3,927 cases, 44 deaths and 3,362 recoveries. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

As for new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 46 for Washington, 45 for Payne, 25 for Garfield, 22 for Osage, 19 for Logan, 10 for Pawnee, nine for Noble and three for Grant. Data for local counties is posted below:

OSDH also reported 5,320 new recoveries for Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 294,629. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Tuesday’s report shows there have been 99,373 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 4,672 completed series.
Health officials report that as of Tuesday, there have been 2,526,623 total negative test results, 18,952 hospitalizations and 1,902 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. There are 471 patients in ICU.
