The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 148 new positive COVID-19 cases on Thursday as Oklahoma’s total is now at 5,680 since testing started.
Latest data shows that there is one new case for Garfield County to bring their total to 24. There are no new changes for Kay, Grant, Logan, Noble, Payne and Pawnee counties. In fact, There are no active cases for Grant, Logan and Noble counties. Kay and Pawnee counties both have two active cases, Osage with nine, Garfield with five and Payne has one.
Five addition coronavirus-related deaths were documented on Thursday as the death toll in Oklahoma is at 304. One of them occurred in the past 24 hours and the others died between May 14 and 19.
- Three in Oklahoma County, a male and a female both in the 65 or older age group and a male in the 50-64 age group.
- A Tulsa County male in the 65 or older age group.
- A Washington County female in the 65 or older age group.
OSDH reports that 95 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the statewide recovery total to 4,361.
As of Thursday, there have been a total of 142,599 test results statewide that returned negative, there have been 917 total hospitalizations and 201 patients are currently in hospitals.
