A fatality collision occurred at approximately 4:36 a.m. Saturday morning at 3614 North Norfolk Road, approximately 1.5 miles north of Cushing, OK in Payne County.
Felicia Bradley, 35, of Drumright, OK. was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 southbound on Norfolk Road. The vehicle departed the roadway to the right and over corrected, crossing the center line and then departing roadway to the left. The vehicle went into the ditch, going airborne for approximately 40 feet and struck a tree. Bradley was pinned for approximately 2 hours before being freed using the Jaws of Life by the Cushing Fire Department. Bradley was pronounced deceased at the scene by Cushing Fire Department.
Christy Lowe, 34, of Drumright was the only passenger with Bradley. Lowe was ejected from the vehicle for an unknown distance and was later transported by Survival Flight to St. John Hospital. Lowe was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal, arm, and head injuries.
According the the report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the odor of alcohol was discovered. The cause of collision was speeding. Seat belts were equipped, but not in use.
