One man in custody following alcohol-involved accident in Ponca City Sunday

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting that a unit collision occurred 5:50 p.m. Sunday evening on Highland Avenue eastbound at Airline in Ponca City.

Jack Lunn, 38, of Ponca City was driving a 1995 Toyota T100 Pick Up eastbound on Highland Avenue. The second vehicle involved, which was a 2015 Dodge Charger driven by Tyler Langston, 28, of Perry was also travelling east. Lunn was not stopping for Langston, leading to Langston performing Tactical Vehicle Intervention on Lunn.

According to the OHP report, Lunn had been drinking. Lunn was transported by Ponca City EMS to Ponca City ER. He was then treated and released into Trooper Langston K609’s custody. Langston was not injured.

Report also shows that Lunn’s vehicle suffered $10,000 worth of damage, while Langston’s vehicle has $3,500 worth of damage.

The accident was investigated by Lt Jackson #98 of the Cimarron Turnpike detachment of Troop K.
