An accident in Osage County on Sunday has claimed the life of an 82 year old Fairfax man. Just after 2pm, Gene Roberts Sr. was driving a 1995 Sierra pickup truck on a gravel road, Country Road 6300, just 8/10 of a mile west of State Highway 18 when the incident occurred. Roberts, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was transported to the Fairfax Community Hospital by Miller EMS where he was pronounced dead due to cardiac arrest. The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
