The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 85 new COVID-19 cases and two provisional deaths statewide for Tuesday.
Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 457,575 COVID-19 CDC cases, 8,600 provisional deaths and 26,806 hospitalizations. The latest data shows that there are 1,505 active COVID-19 cases in the state.
Out of the 1,505 active COVID-19 cases, Kay County has only five active cases. Kay County has seen 5,347 COVID-19 cases, 128 deaths and 5,214 recoveries.

According to OSDH, 3,197,986 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. This includes 1,745,235 Oklahomans receiving the first dose, and 1,477,077 Oklahomans are fully vaccinated. All Oklahomans ages 12 and older can receive the vaccine. Learn more by going to vaccinate.oklahoma.gov.
According to CDC.Gov, A small percentage of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will still develop COVID-19 illness. COVID-19 vaccines are effective. However, a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it. These are called “vaccine breakthrough cases.”
