The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,036 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, Feb. 21. Oklahoma’s seen 419,354 COVID-19 cases overall as 15,356 cases are active.
Twenty-six additional virus-related deaths were documented Sunday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 4,181.
Kay County has seen 5,048 COVID-19 cases, 73 deaths and 4,807 recoveries. There are currently 168 active cases in the county.

OSDH is reporting more recoveries on Sunday rather than new COVID-19 cases as there are 1,254 new recoveries, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 399,817. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
There have been 681,466 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 204,069 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 477,397. There have also been 492,625 prime doses allocated and 400,925 boost doses allocated.
