OSDH reporting 143 new COVID-19 cases for Wednesday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 143 new COVID-19 cases, six virus-related deaths and 136 new hospitalizations for Wednesday, May 12.

Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 450,543 COVID-19 cases, 8,343 provisional CDC deaths and 26,150 hospitalizations. Currently, there are 2,135 active COVID-19 cases.

Kay County saw seven new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 5,320 COVID-19 cases, 126 deaths and 5,185 recoveries. Kay County has nine active COVID-19 cases, which is one less than Tuesday. Kay County remains in the low risk with an average of around two new COVID-19 cases per day.

PONCA CITY – 3,896 COVID-19 cases/81 deaths/3,807 recoveries

BLACKWELL – 682 COVID-19 cases/27 deaths/655 recoveries

NEWKIRK – 439 COVID-19 cases/6 deaths/433 recoveries

TONKAWA – 375 COVID-19 cases/15 deaths/359 recoveries

KAW CITY – 64 COVID-19 cases/3 deaths/61 recoveries

BRAMAN – 24 COVID-19 cases/1 death/23 recoveries

PAYNE – 8,671 COVID-19 cases/72 deaths/8,582 recoveries

GARFIELD – 7,802 COVID-19 cases/130 deaths/7,660 recoveries

OSAGE – 4,748 COVID-19 cases/72 deaths/4,618 recoveries

PAWNEE – 1,785 COVID-19 cases/50 deaths/1,730 recoveries

NOBLE – 1,380 COVID-19 cases/19 deaths/1,359 recoveries

GRANT – 549 COVID-19 cases/6 deaths/543 recoveries

OSDH also reports that as of Wednesday, there have been 2,796,112 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered. This includes 1,248,187 prime doses given and 1,564,846 completed series.
