The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 143 new COVID-19 cases, six virus-related deaths and 136 new hospitalizations for Wednesday, May 12.
Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 450,543 COVID-19 cases, 8,343 provisional CDC deaths and 26,150 hospitalizations. Currently, there are 2,135 active COVID-19 cases.
Kay County saw seven new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 5,320 COVID-19 cases, 126 deaths and 5,185 recoveries. Kay County has nine active COVID-19 cases, which is one less than Tuesday. Kay County remains in the low risk with an average of around two new COVID-19 cases per day.

OSDH also reports that as of Wednesday, there have been 2,796,112 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered. This includes 1,248,187 prime doses given and 1,564,846 completed series.
