The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,558 new COVID-19 cases for Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s overall total of cases to 358,374. There are 36,136 COVID-19 cases that are active, which is more than 3,000 less than the active amount on Monday.
43 virus-related deaths were documented by OSDH on Tuesday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,037. This includes a male and female in Garfield County that were both in the 65 or older age group. Logan, Pawnee and Payne counties each had one death for a female in the 65 or older age group. Noble and Washington counties both had one death for a male in the 65 or older age group.
Kay County saw an increase with 37 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 4,297 cases, 48 deaths and 3,763 recoveries. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 4,965 recoveries on Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 319,201. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
The latest report shows there have been 197,820 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 28,409 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 169,411. There have also been 267,400 prime doses allocated and 42,900 boost doses allocated.
Health officials report that as of Friday, there have been 2,601,000 total negative test results, 20,095 hospitalizations and 1,866 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. There are 470 patients in ICU.
