OSDH reporting 2,174 new COVID-19 cases Sunday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,174 new positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday. Oklahoma’s seen 403,954 COVID-19 cases overall as 26,651 cases are active.

A total of 52 virus-related deaths were reported Sunday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,813.

Kay County has seen 4,923 COVID-19 cases, 64 deaths and 4,539 recoveries. Data for local communities is posted below:

Ponca City – 3,558 cases/33 deaths/3,294 recoveries

Blackwell – 602 cases/14 deaths/537 recoveries

Newkirk – 397 cases/3 death/363 recoveries

Tonkawa – 333 cases/10 deaths/302 recoveries

Kaw City – 59 cases/1 death/56 recoveries

Braman – 20 cases/0 deaths/19 recoveries

 

For new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 82 for Garfield, 64 for Payne, 33 for Logan, 30 for Washington, 28 for Osage, 15 for Pawnee, five for Noble and none for Grant. Data for local counties is posted below:

Garfield County – 7,227 cases/63 deaths/6,741 recoveries

Osage County – 4,251 cases/40 deaths/3,912 recoveries

Logan County – 3,749 cases/26 deaths/3,439 recoveries

Pawnee County – 1,545 cases/28 deaths/1,406 recoveries

Noble County – 1,291 cases/9 deaths/1,179 recoveries

Grant County – 511 cases/6 deaths/484 recoveries

 

OSDH is also reporting 1,754 new recoveries for Sunday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 373,490. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 494,085 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 110,860 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 383,225. There have also been 371,975 prime doses allocated and 243,125 boost doses allocated.

Health officials report that as of Friday, there have been 2,866,417 total negative test results, 22,453 hospitalizations and 1,015 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 303 patients in ICU..
