The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 1,042 new COVID-19 cases Friday.
According to Friday’s situation report, Oklahoma’s seen 501,353 COVID-19 cases overall as 17,853 cases are active. 2,122 is Friday’s 7-day rolling average for the number of new cases reported. The state’s CDC provisional death toll is 8,800.
Locally, Kay County has seen 5,671 COVID-19 cases, 129 deaths and 5,389 recoveries. Therefor, Kay County has 153 active COVID-19 cases.

PONCA CITY – 4,115 COVID-19 cases/85 deaths/3,945 recoveries
BLACKWELL – 750 COVID-19 cases/28 deaths/686 recoveries
NEWKIRK – 474 COVID-19 cases/6 deaths/454 recoveries
TONKAWA – 399 COVID-19 cases/15 deaths/369 recoveries
KAW CITY – 72 COVID-19 cases/3 deaths/64 recoveries
BRAMAN – 28 COVID-19 cases/1 death/24 recoveries
As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 3,556,567 doses have been administered. This includes 1,966,499 Oklahomans receiving the first dose and 1,621,616 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
