The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,070 new COVID-19 cases for Oklahoma on Tuesday, putting the state at 406,064 overall cases with 24,516 cases being active.
OSDH documented 53 new virus-related deaths on Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,870. This includes two Kay County females, one in the 50-64 age group and one in the 65 or older age group. Other deaths include a Grant County female and a Washington County female that were both in the 65 or older age group.
Kay County saw four new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 4,939 COVID-19 cases, 66 deaths and 4,588 recoveries. There are 285 active cases in the county, which is 27 less than Monday.Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 2,728 new recoveries for Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 377,678. The number of new recoveries more than doubled the number of new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
There have been 494,085 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 110,860 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 383,225. There have also been 371,975 prime doses allocated and 243,125 boost doses allocated.
Health officials report that as of Tuesday morning, there have been 2,903,052 total negative test results, 22,789 hospitalizations and 937 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 303 patients in ICU..
