OSDH reports 1,396 COVID-19 cases, 17 deaths and 1,654 recoveries for Monday


The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,396 new COVID-19 cases for Monday. Oklahoma’s seen 390,868 COVID-19 cases overall as 29,264 cases are active.

OSDH documented 17 new virus-related deaths on Monday, including a Pawnee County man in the 65 or older age group. Oklahoma’s death toll is at 3,564.

Kay County saw an increase with nine new COVID-19 cases. This puts Kay County with 4,783 COVID-19 cases, 58 deaths and 4,324 recoveries. There are 401 active cases in the county. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:


Ponca City – 3,525 cases/32 deaths/3,190 recoveries

Blackwell – 593 cases/13 deaths/526 recoveries

Newkirk – 387 cases/3 death/360 recoveries

Tonkawa – 331 cases/10 deaths/291 recoveries

Kaw City – 59 cases/1 death/55 recoveries

Braman – 20 cases/0 deaths/19 recoveries


For new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 18 for Payne, 15 for Logan, 13 for Osage, 12 for Garfield, 10 for Washington, six for Pawnee County and five for Noble. Grant County saw no new cases. Data for local counties is posted below:


Payne County – 7,869 cases/42 deaths/7,257 recoveries

Garfield County – 6,991 cases/60 deaths/6,524 recoveries

Kay County – 4,783 cases/58 deaths/4,324 recoveries

Washington County – 4,238 cases/76 deaths/3,789 recoveries

Osage County – 4,108 cases/38 deaths/3,745 recoveries

Logan County – 3,632 cases/23 deaths/3,300 recoveries

Pawnee County – 1,485 cases/24 deaths/1,334 recoveries

Noble County – 1,245 cases/8 deaths/1,146 recoveries

Grant County – 497 cases/5 deaths/465 recoveries


OSDH is also reporting 1,654 new recoveries for Monday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 358,040. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 373,279 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 58,245 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 315,034. There have also been 315,600 prime doses allocated and 195,750 boost doses allocated.

Health officials report that as of Friday, there have been 2,795,341 total negative test results, 21,957 hospitalizations and 1,291 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 375 patients in ICU..
