Over 1,700 COVID-19 cases reported by OSDH for their weekly report

The Oklahoma State Department of Health released their weekly COVID-19 update on Wednesday. A total of 1,764 new COVID-19 cases were documented as the state has now seen 441,906 COVID-19 cases overall.

The last reported total of active cases in the state was 9,952, 213 individuals are currently hospitalized and 423,402 individuals have recovered from COVID-19. The state’s death toll was last reported at 6,669.

Locally, Kay County has seen an overall total of 5,259 COVID-19 cases, 125 deaths and 5,017 recoveries. There are 117 active COVID-19 cases in Kay County.

Ponca City – 3,854 cases/80 deaths/3,695 recoveries

Blackwell – 672 cases/27 deaths/621 recoveries

Newkirk – 436 cases/6 death/418 recoveries

Tonkawa – 368 cases/15 deaths/348 recoveries

Kaw City – 63 cases/3 death/60 recoveries

Braman – 24 cases/1 death/22 recoveries

 

OSDH also reports that 2,128,826 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. The total of prime doses given is 1,08,194 and the number of completed vaccination series is 705,877.
