Over 2,500 COVID-19 cases reported by OSDH Wednesday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 2,538 new COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, September 1.

 

Oklahoma’s seen 554,496 COVID-19 cases since early 2020 as 22,432 cases are active. The new cases 7 day average is 2,796. The CDC provisional death count is 9,199.

 

As of Wednesday, Kay County has seen 6,098 COVID-19 cases, 136 deaths and 5,739 recoveries. Therefor, Kay County has 223 active cases. For active cases in surrounding counties, Garfield has 256, Osage has 55, Pawnee has 134, Noble has 82 and Grant has 23.

 

If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

TONKAWA – 426 COVID-19 cases/15 deaths/398 recoveries

KAW CITY – 78 COVID-19 cases/3 deaths/71 recoveries

BRAMAN – 30 COVID-19 cases/1 death/27 recoveries

 

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 3,829,308 doses have been administered. This includes 2,109,416 Oklahomans receiving the first dose and 1,734,367 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
