A status docket is set for a Pawnee woman in the Kay County District Court. 38-year-old Lindsey Renee Silver is charged with a felony charge of larceny of automobile aircraft or other motor vehicle.
Ponca City police report that on Dec. 8 an officer responded to a report of a vehicle stolen from the OnCue store at South Avenue and Waverly in Ponca City.
Police that were told that when a customer pulled up to a gas pump in her 1988 Chevrolet pickup, she went into the store. Once inside, that’s when someone stole her truck.
Police were able to locate the truck in the 500 block of north Oak with Silver driving and had a female passenger with her.
The passenger, Leta Holder, told police that Silver picked her up and claimed that someone named Tom loaned her the truck.
Holder said she has only known Silver for two weeks and that she is usually pushing a wheelchair.
Police contacted the store and reviewed surveillance footage, which reportedly shows a female pushing a wheelchair, approach the truck, get in and drive away.
Silver is wanted in Pawnee County on a charge of uttering a forged instrument. Silver is being held in the county jail on $50,000 bond.
