The Ponca City Development Authority may be taking control of another large building. In today’s meeting agenda, the building at 400 East Central, known as the ‘City Center’ building, has been offered for donation to the authority. It opened in the late 1970’s as the headquarters for a savings and loan. It encompasses some 70,000 square feet with more than one floor.
Possession would not be taken unless a 200,000 dollar donation is made by the building’s owner, now listed as Irish Realty. The money would be used for needed repairs.
Earlier this year, the Authority bough a large hangar building on Waverly Street, formerly owned by KCI Aviation.
