Ponca City Public Schools has hired Rod Alexander as the new Head Boys Golf Coach. Coach Alexander is replacing Bill Stinson who recently accepted the position of Head Men’s and Woman’s Golf Coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas.
Alexander’s professional experience includes: Elected to Class A membership in the Professional Golfers Association of America July 2000, Golf Professional since 1995, South Central Section PGA Western Chapter Professional of the year 2013, Past President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer of Western Chapter, Past Tournament Chairman, Junior Golf Co-Chairman, Publicity Chairman of South Central Section PGA, National PGA Ambassador, currently serving as the Director of Golf at Lew Wentz Golf Course for 17 years.
“We are excited to have Rod Alexander join our Coaching staff here at Ponca City! Rod brings a wealth of experience that will impact our student-athletes.” Said PCPS Athletic Director Jason Leavitt.
Coach Alexander graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School and later graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor in Business Administration.
Coach Alexander has two children, Son Jayden, 18 and Daughter Reagan, 15.
