All PCPS students, who do not have access to a device or reliable Internet, will bring home a chrome book and hot spot on Monday, October 26 to prepare for a possible Distance Learning Day due to inclement weather forecasted for Tuesday, October 27. Superintendent, Shelley Arrott, will make a decision no later than 6:00 PM today (Monday, October 26) about whether students will participate in a Distance Learning Day or an In-person Instruction Day will occur on Tuesday, October 27.
If Distance Learning occurs October 27 due to inclement weather, teachers will post instruction, assignments, or resources for every class and will reach out to students for further instructions through regular communication modes. A Distance Learning Day on Tuesday, October 27 would be considered an instructional day and attendance is required. The Ponca City Virtual Academy students will continue with instruction as normal if in-person learners participate in a Distance Learning Day.
