Under Ponca City Utility Authority’s New Business, the PCUA Trustees voted to approve a construction contract with Luckinbill Construction, LLC of Edmond Oklahoma, for the Water Treatment Plant Clearwell Rehabilitation Project in the amount of $399,388.00.
The two clearwells are a major component at the Water Treatment Plant. They are concrete structures that contain treated water. They serve to provide contact time for chlorine and provide flow equalization to accommodate for the changing water demand.
The scope of this project is to rehabilitate the exposed concrete surfaces, which include preparing the surface, repairing grout, sealing cracks, and applying a silicone-type weatherproof coating.
Five contractors attended the pre-bid meeting and visited the project site. Four contractors submitted bids, with Luckinbill Construction, LLC being the lowest, most responsible bidder.
Both City staff and the S2 engineer recommended that Luckinbill Construction, LLC be awarded the construction contract.
