A Perry man found himself involved in a fatal accident that occurred at 6:20 p.m. Sunday evening on State Highway 33, approximately 12 miles west of Kingfisher in Kingfisher County.
Kevin Branch, 34, of Oklahoma City man was driving a 2010 Ford Focus eastbound on highway 33 when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and struck a 2020 Peterbilt Semi driven by Mike Bateson, 32, of Perry. While Bateson was sent to Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher where he was treated and released, Branch died at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City due to massive injuries.
Seatbelts were in use by both vehicles.
