The city of Ponca City will observe Monday January 18 as a city holiday in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day. City offices, the city landfill, trash pick up, Marland’s Grand Home, the library and the senior citizens center will all be closed. Meanwhile, a celebration of Dr. King’s life will be held at the Attucks Community Center Saturday January 16 at 6 p.m.
