The Ponca City Senior High School girls’ basketball team recently played in the Westmoore Tournament in Moore, Oklahoma. After the game, the team was eating lunch and a gentleman named Bobby Walton introduced himself to them as a former Po-Hi graduate and Hall of Famer.
Po-Hi head basketball coach Jody Fincher explained, “We visited with him for a few minutes and took a picture. He informed us that he was a 1957 Po-Hi graduate and was in the Po-Hi Wrestling Hall of Fame. It amazes me how often people come up to us when we are out of town and tell us they are Po-Hi graduates. The pride they still have in our school is special. I felt like this was another instance of Wildcat Pride. I love our school!”
