Ponca City ambulance involved in Tulsa County accident

A Ponca City Ambulance was involved in an in jury collision that occurred at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday on US-412 eastbound 3/10 west of 49th W. Ave, 3/10 mile west of Tulsa in Tulsa County.

John Anders, 32, of Ponca City was driving a 2020 Freightliner Ambulance eastbound on US-412. Due to rain and wet roads, the vehicle hydroplaned, departed the roadway to the right and rolled an unknown number of times. Anders was transported by EMSA to St. John Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in stable condition trunk internal injuries.

There were two passengers from Ponca City that were in the Ambulance. Robbie N. Monroe, 68, and Landon Carpenter, 28, were both transported by EMSA to St. John Hospital in Tulsa where they were admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, truck external, arm and leg injuries.

Seatbelts were equipped and in use by Ander, not in use by the two passengers. Airbags were equipped, but did not deploy.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Whit Cochran #667 of the Tulsa County Detachment of Troop B. Assisted by Trooper Billy Fausett #595, Trooper Cody Willis #860 of the Tulsa County Detachment of Troop B. Also assisted by Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA.
