Ponca City Police are investigating the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in the 1000 block of North Second Street. A 911 call was received by the Communication Center at 6:07 p.m. from a resident of a garage apartment in the 1000 block of North Second.
The caller reported a male bleeding heavily from his side. Police arrived and began CPR. Ambulance personnel arrived and transported the victim to the AllianceHealth Ponca City where he died from a single gunshot wound to the left side. Police are questioning a witness, but no other details are available at this time.
