A personal injury collision occurred at 12:35 p.m. Thursday afternoon on U.S. 77 .1 miles south of Braman/Bender Road, 3 miles north of Newkirk in Kay County.
A male, 27, of Ponca City with a name being with-held at this time was driving a 2015 Chevy Spark on U.S. 77. The cause of the accident remains unknown as investigation continues.as the driver appeared to be in normal condition. According to an admin passing through the area, officials on scene directed traffic as they were working the accident. The vehicle was seen in the east ditch between the highway and railroad tracks.
The male was later transported by Newkirk EMS to AllianceHealth Ponca City where he was admitted in serious condition with head, legs, and arm injuries. Seatbelts were in use in the male’s vehicle.
