Chief of Police Don Bohon of the Ponca City Police Department reports several officers over the New Years day helped elderly citizens get their heaters working at their residence. One elderly lady was sitting on a leaking heater and if it had been lit it might have caused extensive damage. The officers were able to evacuate the lady and contact ONG to fix the problem. Another officer helped a 92 year old lady set up her heater in her garage to prevent her pipes from freezing. The Ponca City Men in Blue helping the community.
