SHARE NOW

February 24-28, 2020 has been designated as National Public Schools Week which is a national initiative to celebrate the achievements public schools are making and honoring the significant contributions and accomplishments of students, parents, educators and education advocates in local communities who work to help students achieve their greatest potential.

Public schools are building our nation’s future. Nine out of 10 students in the United States attend public schools, more than 50 million – regardless of ability, race, wealth, language, religion or country of origin.

“Please join us in celebrating the impact of public education and the outstanding things happening in our schools,” said PCPS Public Relations Director Mary Ladd. “We would also like to say thank you to our community for supporting our public schools and helping us be successful.”

Public Schools Week is supported by: AASA, The School Superintendents Association, American Federation of Teachers, American School Counselors Association, CoSN (Consortium for School Networking), Learning Forward, National Association of Elementary School Principals, National Association of Secondary School Principals, National Education Association, National School Boards Association, National School Public Relations Association, and National PTA.
