You’re invited to join the City of Ponca City for the airport celebration of the summer!
The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission and the City of Ponca City welcome Gov. Kevin Stitt and U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe and other officials as they celebrate the Ponca City Regional Airport Runway Dedication on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 am.
Fly-in or drive, plan to arrive before 9:30 am, and let’s celebrate Oklahoma Aviation!
The Ponca City Regional Airport began the $8,073,665.00 project back in September 2020 to construct a runway that can serve Ponca City and the surrounding area for many decades to come.
Through a combination of FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) discretionary and supplemental funding and CARES Act funding, the project was 100% funded by the FAA.
This was one of the biggest single-phase general aviation airport projects ever in Oklahoma. The Ponca City Regional Airport has a $10 million dollar annual economic impact to the area.
