Ponca City resident injured in accident Friday in Yukon

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a personal injury collision occurred at about 4:19 p.m. on Friday on Interstate-40 westbound, about 0.2 miles west of Garth Brooks Blvd in Yukon, OK in Canadian County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2003 Honda motorcycle driven by Reuben Stokley (SIC), 43, of Ponca City, OK. Stokley was transported by Pafford EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was treated & released.

A passenger on Stokley’s vehicle, Cheyenne Maloof (SIC), 23, of Calrinda, Iowa was transported by by POV to Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, and then by Pafford EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was admitted in critical condition with head and trunk internal injuries.

The Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances of the collision and has not yet released its full report. The partial report notes that the weather was clear and the roadway was dry. A helmet was in use by Stokley, but not in use by Maloof.
