The Kay county courthouse has been closed for the day. Kay Electric Cooperative reports 1532 power outages in Newkirk. Ice on the lines caused the outage as lines went down. Kay Electric is advising everyone to avoid the downed line and do not move or touch. Crews are assisting from Ponca City but they do not have a time that they expect power to be back on. The Oklahoma Power Authority has zero power outages today. OG and E is reported many system wide outages including 163 in Ponca City, 54 in Marland, 108 in Lamont, 150 in Deer Creek and 296 in Garber.
