NEWKIRK – The Kay County Sheriff’s Department released a statement on Facebook on Monday that Prentice Road at River Road east of Newkirk will be a 4-way stop.
Kay County Commissioner for District 2 said that the intersection serves as a primary intersection for trucks involved with the windmill construction in the areas southeast of Newkirk. By the end of the week, there will be newly installed flashing light stop signs on River Road at Prentice Road. The stop signs will remain in place till the construction project is complete at which time the signs will be removed. Please use extreme caution when traveling on River Road in this area.
