On Saturday, September 16, the Pioneer Woman Museum will close the special exhibit “Pieces of a Collection: Selected Quilts of the Pioneer Woman Museum.” The exhibit consists of 13 quilts from the museum’s permanent collection and three more from local families. The quilts on exhibit range in age from the 1850s to the 1980s. Each is technically and visually beautiful.

Coinciding with the end of the exhibit is a special presentation by Martha Spark, an antique textile preservation specialist and historian. Ms. Spark will present a lecture and slides on Saturday, September 16, at 10 a.m. Ms. Spark has more than 30 years’ experience in the museum field, and has worked in various natural history museums and historical museums since 1977.
