Saturday we enjoyed the day at the Kay County Sheriff’s Office gun range. Deputy Mike Landis started the class with basic gun safety and how the equipment we use has changed over the years in law enforcement, from guns to duty rigs. Deputy Elliott Lindsey demonstrated the required CLEET pistol course. Each student was given the chance to shoot several rounds from our duty pistol and rifles. I want to thank all the students for their participation, we all enjoyed the day. We had students that had never shot a gun before and some with experience. All students did very well.
Academy Student Harriet Simpson only missed one.
