Starting June 1, Evans and Associates will begin a resurfacing project along U.S. Highway 77(14th Street) in Ponca City along the two mile stretch between South Avenue and Hartford Avenue.

You can expect the road to be reduced to one lane in both directions. It’s unknown at this time how long the project will take. Flashing signs are already in place for traffic to alert them of the upcoming project.

This comes at the same time that a major resurfacing and reconstruction project is underway on U.S. 77 north of Newkirk to just south of the casinos. You can expect traffic to be reduced to one lane at times. In fact, as of Wednesday, portable traffic lights are in place south of the casinos. That project is expected to be done by Spring 2021.
