Northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 77 (14th Street) in Ponca City will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between South Ave. and E. Hartford Ave. beginning today for a resurfacing project.
Motorists can expect delays, congestion and even intermittent side street closures in the area at varying times. Road work will go from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday. If weather is to affect the project. There could be weekends where road work is going on. Work is expected to be complete by early fall 2020.
In more road construction news. As of Tuesday, the eastbound lane on Lake Road near the dam will be closed for approximately three months for Kaw Lake Spillway Maintenance.
