Second Woman Dies From Injuries Suffered in Thursday Accident in Osage County

Update:  Driver of second vehicle in Thursday accident in Osage County has died.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting that Lydia Ruth Bogan died just after 1pm on Friday December 8th.  The report has been confirmed by medical personnel at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK.  The accident took place 5 miles west of Barnsdall on State Highway 11, just .9 miles west of County Road 2511.

Bogan was driving a GMC truck on Wednesday afternoon and was struck by a Dodge Dart driven by 31 year old Susan K. Raynor of Ponca City.  Raynor crossed the center line, hitting Bogan head on.  Raynor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bogan was airlifted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa and was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal and leg injuries.
The OHP report states that Raynor was pinned for approximately two hours and freed by the Pawhuska Fire Department.  Bogan was pinned for approximately 20 minutes and freed by Pawhuska Fire Department using the Jaws of Life and Hurst tools.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
