Shots Fired Near Tonkawa

Law enforcement across Northern Oklahoma continue their search for a suspect who shot at Tonkawa Police Officers early this morning. Tonkawa Police attempted to stop a vehicle at 2:36 a.m. near I-35 and Highway 60.  Shots were exchanged and the vehicle fled south into Noble County.  Police lost sight of the vehicle and are continuing their search.

The vehicle is described as a black or dark green small to mid-size extended cab pickup truck.  The letters NLM or NIM were painted in red on the right side of the tailgate.  The pickup also had a defective light tag.  The suspect is described at a tall male with short brown hair and a small amount of brown chin hair.  Police said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
