Two Stillwater residents were involved in a fatal accident on Saturday west of Altus in Jackson County, one of the residents being killed.
The accident happened at 6:54 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 6, 1 mile south of U.S.Highway 62. 49-year-old William Sebrant of Stillwater was driving a 2007 Ford Pickup that wrecked. Sebrant was later transported by Air Evac to United Regional Healthcare in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries. His passenger however, 48-year-old Tammy Sebrant of Stillwater, was pronounced dead on scene by Jackson County EMS.
Cause of the accident remains under investigation.
