Students Learn Dangers of Parvo

SHARE NOW

Carole Keffer’s Spanish class at East Middle School has been working with Paula Cain, Ponca City Emergency Management, to create flyers in Spanish to inform the public about the dangers of Parvo and how to protect their pets.

Parvo is a highly contagious viral disease that affects dogs.

According to Paula Cain, “This has become a large ‘real world’ concern here in Ponca City.” Mrs. Cain had the flyers professionally printed and delivered to Ms. Keffer’s class so they could distribute them throughout the community. Ms. Cain also invited students to attend and hand-out flyers at a special community adoption event on May 6 2017.
