A personal injury collision occurred at approximately 12:07 p.m. on U.S. 60, 1/10 of a mile west of City View Road, 1 mile east of Ponca City in Osage County.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident. David Mallow, 58, of Pawhuska was driving a 2019 Mack tractor was stopped in the center turn lane waiting to turn right into a private drive on the south side of U.S. 60. A 2017 GMC Pickup driven by James Hight, 59, of Ponca City was stopped in the private drive on the south side of U.S. 60 while waiting to turn onto the highway. A 2017 Victory Motorcycle driven by Hamid Saghani, 43, of Ponca City was travelling eastbound on U.S. 60 swerved to the shoulder to avoid the collision with any of the two other vehicles.
Mallow’s tractor and Saghani’s motorcycle collided. The motorcycle then departed the roadway to the right and struck Hight’s pickup.
While Mallow and Hight were not injured, Saghani was transported by Ponca City EMS to to Ponca City Hospital and admitted in fair condition with internal trunk and head injuries.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Robert Regnier #219 of the Osage County Detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Trooper Malcom Deming #662 of the Kay County Detachment of Troop S, and Ponca City Fire and EMS.
