Tip leads FBI to 12 hour search of home on East Hartford on Friday

After receiving a tip, FBI investigators spent over 12 hours searching a home in the 2900 block of East Hartford in Ponca City on Friday morning.  According to an Oklahoma FBI spokesperson, agents conducted the search with members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force, but they stated that the search was not terrorism related.

The residents of the home were questioned by authorities.  There are conflicting reports on arrests, with KFOR.com saying that one person has been arrested.  The massive showing of law enforcement resources created quite a buzz in the community, and now leaves neighbors with many unanswered questions.  According to News 9, officials say the search warrant was sealed and may not be unsealed by the US Attorney’s office until “after a potential indictment.
