According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one Tonkawa man was killed in an accident at 1:31 p.m. Friday afternoon, 2 miles south of Blackwell at 13th street and Hubbard Road.
Charles Stewart, 49, was driving at 1996 Dodge Pickup on south 13th when he failed to yield at the stop sign at Hubbard Road. Stewart was then struck by a 2014 Ford F-250 Pickup truck that was heading eastbound on Hubbard Road.
According to News on 6 in Tulsa, Stewart was ejected, pinned under his vehicle and was later transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Ford F-250 was transported to a Stillwater hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.
