Dallen Hacker of the 2018 Class A State Football Champions Tonkawa Buccaneers has been named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State football team. Hacker, who is a four-year starter for Tonkawa, was placed on the East Team’s offensive unit as a lineman. The All-State team is picked from among all classifications, small school or large.
Hacker was the only Ponca City are player to be named All-State. The OCA also released its All-Star teams, which are named by classification. Named to the Class A defensive All-Star team were Dallen Hacker and Simeon Shepherd of Tonkawa, Luke Roberts of Pawnee and Jacob Mashburn of Woodland. On the Class A offensive All-Star team is quarterback Brayden Hampton of Tonkawa and running back Ryker Hughes of Morrison.
As a four-year starter, Hacker compiled some impressive numbers. As a defensive lineman, he had 303 career tackles, 67 sacks, two near interceptions, six tipped passes, caused 21 hurried passes, forced three fumbles and recovered six and one safety. Statistics aren’t kept for offensive linemen, but he was for sure present with his 6-foot-3 230 pound frame.
The East vs. West All-Star game is set for 7 p.m. on July 26 at Tuttle Stadium at Tulsa Union High School.
