Yesterday voters in Ponca City approved a five-year extension of the 1/2 cent sales and use tax. The tax funds economic development through the Ponca City Development Authority.

It was a very low turnout for the vote  on the tax question, but over 77 percent voted for the extension, 22.6 percent, voted  against the measure.

In Peckham, approved a school bond measure by 75.62 .  While Shidler voters rejected a school bond issue by 76.34 percent.
