A Winfield woman was injured early this week after a two-vehicle accident.
31-year-old Ashley Harper, sustained potentially serious but not life threatening injuries.
She required stitches and had cuts and bruises and was treated and released from the hospital.
Around 6:50 p.m. emergency crews received the report of a collision.
Harper was driving her 1990 Mazda when she was struck on the driver’s side by a 2007 Chevy van driven by 29-year-old Clifford McClure, of Winfield. According to the police, McClure failed to yield at an unmarked intersection. He was cited for failing to yield the right of way, illegal registration and no proof of insurance.
McClure and two passengers in his vehicle were not injured.
