The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Grant County and much of northwest Oklahoma from late Monday night until Tuesday afternoon.
Other counties included in the watch are Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Ellis, Woodward and Major. At this time, Kay County is NOT included.
Heavy wet snow is possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches possible in northwest Oklahoma. As for the Ponca City area, less than one inch of accumulating snow is likely Tuesday afternoon.
Travel could be very difficult with hazardous road conditions and reduced visibility.
